Hi just a small bug - Snoop seems convinced that I have my phone contract with O2 and as such is showing me Snoops related to that. However I’m not with O2, don’t have anything with O2 and don’t recall spending any money with them.
Likewise, I get O2 Snoops even though I’m not with O2. I presumed they were just general Snoops rather than targeted ones but if they’re not, then like islafc, I also shouldn’t be getting them…
Thanks for letting us know @charlwillis and @islafc
We’ll take a look into this one. Appreciate the feedback.
Also, whilst I appreciate you pointing it out to me, I don’t need one Snoop about the tax deadline for ISAs, LISAs, and Investments, and then one right next to it specifically about LISAs too. (see screenshot). One is enough thanks!
My Snoop says ‘I can see you’re with O2’ so it does seem to be targeted, just to clarify
Hi there @islafc - hope you’re well on this sunny morning.
We’ve taken a look at the O2 problem you raised, and we can see what’s happened. We’ve incorrectly assumed a transaction you made at O2 Empire, is O2. We’ll fix that asap so we stop assuming you’re an O2 customer. Really sorry about that! Cara
Morning @charlwillis, we can’t find an O2 Snoop in your feed so would it be possible for you to send us a screenshot so we can look into this further? thanks
Ah, good point! I will check the next O2 Snoop that pops up for me too.
Morning @Cara. Sure, I’ve removed all the ones I’ve seen recently so will see if a new one pops up and let you know. Thanks!
Hi. I noticed somebody on this thread has already mentioned about support for a Revolut account in a different currency. I have a USD account attached, and it shows up correctly as USD in the main “Your Money” section of the app, but if you drill in to view transactions, they’re all listed with a £ symbol in front of them, even though they’re dollar value transactions (e.g. $99 showing as £99). Just a little confusing that it’s part implemented.
Thanks @david - you are right that multi-currency support is only partially supported. We only have 2 banks (out of our current list of 32) that give us transactions and balances in currencies other than GBP.
We do fully intend to support multiple currencies in future, but we’ve focussed first on building out lots of other features.
Although it’s easy to show the correct currency on account specific screens, many of our features work across all of your connected accounts. There are lots of extra complexities involved with comparing spend in GBP compared with accounts in other currencies (especially when the relative values can be significantly different!).
We took the decision it was better to show something now, rather than simply ignoring the non-GBP accounts and not connecting them at all. We felt if people were not finding it useful for these non-GBP accounts they would remove them from the ‘manage accounts’ screen.
In the future we will certainly be coming back to put in proper multi-currency support. I hope you can understand our prioritisation logic here.
Paul
Enjoying the new Snoop Alerts! But one or two of them haven’t worked for me. Some do, but some I just get this:
Also I’m noticing that Snoop’s speech bubble is sometimes over the ‘Find me more Snoops’ button at the bottom of the Snoops tray such that I can’t press it. It doesn’t appear to be constant though and I can’t seem to replicate at will!
Hi @charlwillis thanks for letting us know about this one.
There are actually two things wrong here… that particular alert is only supposed to fire the first time an account is connected.
When it does get created, it is only supposed to appear for accounts where there are regular spending across merchants and regular categories. This particular Santander accounts only has transfers in it.
We will get both fixed for the future - many thanks!
Paul
Thanks @paul_k!
