Snoop's New Beta

@lemon_moon glad you like it! thank you!

I’ve been enjoying the beta on Android and I’m very pleased to see one of my feedback items was addressed (return of the grid view).

However, I’ve just switched to iPhone. Is it possible to add my Snoop email account to the TestFlight list so I can get back on the beta using iOS?

Thanks!

Hey everyone!

We’ve been busy working (and listening) hard and are delighted to have released a new version of the BETA app today.

The main updates are:

• The ‘Grid’ view of your accounts is back for those who preferred that. Just use the new toggle above your accounts on the homescreen to switch between grid view and scroll view :arrows_counterclockwise:

• We’ve added a ‘new ‘switch and save’’ feature – the fastest way to check for savings and find deals using Snoop :moneybag:

• We’ve added an ‘all-time view’ – so you can see the spending history we hold for each category or merchant :date:

Download it via the normal routes on the PlayStore or Testflight and make sure to let us know what you think!

Have a fantastic weekend when it comes,

Ross

Hey @Roygoode - could you email hello@snoop.app from the email address you use for snoop and we’ll send you a TestFlight link

thanks,

Ross

Will do thanks!

Hi @Aitchen - I’m glad you like the reintroduction of the grid view. Saving the preference is something we will certainly consider for the future and we are closely monitoring how people use this button each time they log-on.

The reason we’ve designed it this way at the moment is to make more space for features on that homepage. We have several new things that are coming up that we think people will find very useful to see when they log-on (for example customised alerts about spending, future projections etc).

In the previous version of Snoop, anything that used to be accessed below the list of accounts would often not get used as much or sometimes not even found at all. When we introduced the Beta app we got feedback from customers about the ‘Your Bills’ feature (previously called Payment Hub). People were finding this for the first time despite it being a feature we’ve had for many months. Previously it could only be accessed on a card under the grid of accounts but often people put the accounts that don’t change much at the bottom of the list (so they stop scrolling down).

So that’s our challenge - make the most of the homepage but still give access to the different views that people love to use to quickly review their accounts. I hope that makes sense as to the balance we are trying to consider?

If real estate is your problem, then why not put the accounts on a separate tab like bills.

I’d guess 99% of my use is “what new Snoops are there” so I’d rather have these front and centre. Not have to work out if I tap or drag the Snoop tab these days…

Hi @meedavid - that’s a really interesting suggestion.

Based on the feedback we get - a lot of people are wanting to see their accounts as soon as they open the app. That was certainly the feedback we got when we introduced the horizontal scrolling rather than vertical.

If we added them to a different tab to where customers ‘land’ in the app - that is still an extra tap and not any different to the button we’ve already added I guess?

That’s good feedback about wanting to see what Snoops are new. We have some ideas for that in future too.

Happy to join. Could you add me please? Thank you!

Hi @ian.lin - we certainly can

Would you mind emailing us at hello@snoop.app and we’ll get that sorted? Also if you’re on Android, it would be great if you could let us know the email address you use with Google Play.

Many thanks, Cara

I’d love to try Beta snoop

Hi @Sheps - great to read you’ll give the new version of Snoop a go!

We’re actually rolling the Beta out to all Snoop users from this week so it probably makes sense to wait for that and then you’ll get access. We’ll be contacting everyone to let them know when the new app is available for download.

Hope you like it! Would be great to hear what you think

I am an Investor of snoop and love the product. However there are some user cases I know many have which I am not sure Snoop can handle.

User case : Can Snoop handle business accounts, furthermore can snoop handle business accounts that have multiply energy / Utility accounts as the business has multiple locations.

Thanks

Hi @aashram at this moment we are focussed on personal accounts only. For certain banks, it may be possible to connect a business account, but our features are not optimised for this.

That said - we do support multiple payments for the same product - i.e. multiple energy payments for more than one property, multiple mobile phone payments etc. Each of these individual payments can be added to their own product card in the ‘Your Bills’ section of the app.

Thanks for the information Paul

Hiya, would love to be involved in the beta!

Hi @Shorley we have been testing lots of new features in a Beta programme for the last few months.

However last week we moved all of these into the main version of Snoop available to all through the app stores. So the current app available is the one you can get directly in the app store.

When we restart testing the next batch of features in a Beta programme, we will post in here and get you added to that version then.
