M&S closing current accounts

Hi just had email notification that M&S are closing current accounts in August! Frustrating as I only swapped to them last July.

Yes we spotted this as well. It must be really frustrating!

We’re going to be dropping a Snoop into M&S customer’s feeds over the next day or so, so do keep an eye out.

I don’t use them but my wife does and listening to her it doesn’t sound like they’ll be missed much.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tesco go the same way. They closed new applications for the current account some time ago but dropping the in-credit interest to 0% sends a clear signal.
