Apply Refunds to month purchase was made

When you make a purchase in April, and then you get a partial refund on that purchase in May, the refund should apply to the month when the purchase was made when they are linked through the “track a refund feature”.

It can confuse monthly budgets with related items being separated. The workaround is simple for full refunds (you just exclude both transactions) but for partial refunds there is no suitable workaround.

I second this although would prefer if a solution was found regardless of whether the track a refund feature was used or not. At the moment, a purchase and refund across months screws up the spending and budgeting totals.
