I have certain shopping categories, such as how much I spend on a particular hobby, that id like to track. However i also dont want to lose sight of overall how much im spending on shopping . To solve this, it would be great if I can tag transactions with one or multiple tags.
Hi @Tomg - we certainly understand how this would be useful and we’ve had very similar feedback from others.
It’s not something we are working on right now - but it absolutely is something we want to do at some stage in future. I’m afraid I can’t give you any timescale for that but we will update here as soon as we have firm plans.

Hi have been trialling a few different apps to see which is best for me and Snoop is really good.
However the lack of tags compared to Moneyhub and Emma really lets it down. Is there an update on whether this might be coming.
As Paul mentioned I’m afraid we do not have a timescale on this feature in particular. However I have shared your feedback directly with our development team as we greatly appreciate the suggestion from our customers.
We do have transaction notes that may help with this in the meantime as it appears when viewing your transactions in the list view. To add a transaction select your transaction and scroll down to notes, add the required note and then as mentioned when you go back to the transactions you will see the note under the name of the transaction.
All the best,
Sarah
Been monitoring this thread and waiting on this feature for a long time. Having a really hard time tracking cross category transactions.
For example, for a specific trip where I would have spent money on Food, done some Shopping and paid for my Accommodation, I’m currently not able to get a picture of what I spent on that trip because the transactions are split across multiple categories. Would be nice to add an actual tag to transactions, so that I can see the my spending trends for a custom event/stand alone event regardless of category or timeframe. So searching for the “Japan” tag as an example, will give me the list of all transactions with its associated categories, and how much I spent on that trip alone - giving me a different snapshot of the same data.
Another use case for tagging I have is tracking stuff that are not big enough to be an entire category. For example, say I’m someone that sometimes spends on junk food, but not often enough that it would be its own category - within the list of transactions I have added to my Food category, I might want to tag some transactions with the tag “junk” so I see how much I’ve spent on junk food in a specific timeframe. I would still want to know how much I spend on food as a whole, but this helps give me an alternate view to how I spend.
I’m really hoping this is something you consider adding soon. It’ll be really helpful for a lot of us.
Thanks for all you do.
Hi @asdk_tyuo
Thank you for your feedback on this as well, I have shared this with our team as we greatly appreciate hearing from our customers. At the moment we do not have this planned in, but do keep an eye out for future updates to the app.
Many thanks,
Sarah
Labels/category allocations on some of my transactions have vanished on my Snoop account over the last couple of days. I’ve reported this but had no update other than an apology/we will look into it message. Just wondering if I am alone here or this is a common problem?
Same with me, waiting on a response from Snoop.
Hi @WendyM and @Dereksmum
This is actually to do with an incident currently ongoing with our Open Banking partner, which is affecting data. As soon as we have an update on this we will let customers know.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Many thanks,
Sarah
