I think it would be very beneficial for users to be able to compare one date range to another to get a better understanding of where they have saved money, and what categories haven’t improved over time. At the moment, we only get a comparison to the previous month.
For example, I want to compare my expenditures from:
01/01/2020 - 16/09/2020
with
01/01/2021 - 16/09/2021
This gives me my year-to-date figures along with a comparison to the previous year.
For a little more insight, include the ability to select specific categories only, or to view all categories and/or total income/outgoings.
With this implementation, users can freely choose the date range to suit their needs, rather than implementing multiple different adaptations such as “pay day calendar” as suggested before.
This should also squash any similar future requests before they even happen.
