I hope this will be implemented before the end of the year. Will be interesting to see. 3 years in the making

Bit clunky but for what it’s worth this is how I work around not being able to split transactions across categories…
Work out the split that adds up to the total original transaction amount. Transfer split 1 to another snoop linked account (I use an instant access savings account) from the account that the original spend came from, Transfer split 2 etc. Then transfer back from instant access the full total amount. Then in snoop exclude the original transaction and change the category of the two or more split transfers to the correct category…
Example, Costco spend of £150 split between Groceries £50 and Xmas gifts £100…
£150 transaction on main account
-
transfer £50 and £100 from main account to instant access account
-
transfer £150 from instant access account to main account. As classified as internal transfer will be automatically excluded
-
refresh snoop and change categories on internal transfers to Groceries and Shopping and toggle ‘excluded’ to off.
-
optional… add note
-
exclude original Costco £150 spend from analysis
Took me a couple of minutes but certainly helpful to be able to show spend in the correct places.
I do the same
Another vote for the ability to split transaction categories
Is there somewhere where users can see what Snoop’s development priorities are?
Hi @StephenG
Thank you for your vote on split transactions, this has been shared with our team as a feature request to help boost this up the list.
With regards to development, we don’t currently have a public roadmap, but any updates will be shared with users in communication such as in-app and email, so do keep an eye on these.
Many thanks,
Sarah
Another vote for split transactions please. I used this feature in Money Dashboard all the time. Not having it in Snoop is really skewing my budget categories.
I’m moving over from WPS and this is a real issue for me in the app and something they did well. I like the overall budgeting but when I’m paying something with multiple categories it’s just going to skew my budget quite a lot.
New year, new feature! Please implement this - it’s the only thing preventing me from signing up to a subscription as it means so much to be able to split transactions across multiple categories.
I am starting to think this will never happen, such a shame. Not sure if it means I will cancel my subscription though?
Hi @Mike1, @haystakk, @Smurf and @20cc
Thank you for voting for this feature, please note all of your feedback is shared directly with the team. Split transactions is something that is being looked into, however we do not have a timescale on this currently.
As soon as we implement any new features or updates we will make customers aware so keep an eye out for the in-app and email communication.
Many thanks,
Sarah
Also disappointed to see this missing. Table stakes features are non-negotiable, that’s what makes them table stakes, so +1 more would-be paid subscriber who won’t be able to use Snoop. This is the “top” idea on here and has been for a while. PM leaving money on the table while chasing commodified features? ![]()
Really hope the team can focus on some of the core transaction tracking gaps to round out the fundamentals following such a spree of net new feature adds, but that is a lot of product surface to support now ![]()
