Quick question does opening a new current account impact on credit score ?And is there a different if for instance I don’t need an overdraft?ive seen the HSBC offer to switch to their premium account and I’m interested as my current accounts aren’t benefiting me much at moment.

The specific wording is:
Opening a new bank account should only lower your credit score temporarily – but if you do it too often, your score won’t have time to recover.
So, yes a bank would normally do some sort of credit check when you open an account.
